Countdown to the last new PlayStation discs
Sony says physical disc production for all new PlayStation games ends starting January 2028. After that, new games arrive digitally only. Games that already released, or release before then, are not affected.

What this means if you collect discs
- Discs for games released before 2028 stay valid and playable. This only stops production of discs for new games.
- Some discs don't hold the whole game. Check which ones do on our full-game-on-disc list and which need a download on the download list.
- Limited and collector's editions tend to sell out fast. See what is in stock right now.
